Wherever you’re reading this from,
migration, refugees and human trafficking was likely in your headlines this morning, and certainly this week. The global refugee crisis is at boiling point, and national discussions on it are just as heated.
Whilst I’m not idealistic enough to think a film could change a far-right opinion, I do know cinema creates a safer space for discussion, as fictional narrative is far less emotionally charged than current affairs.
My hope with this film is that - regardless of your political views - you understand what modern human slavery looks like, and how intertwined it is to the refugee crisis.
